Tribune Media Services to it (i've been there since June 2000)
  • Yahoo profile is pretty interesting.

Favorite Visual Artists
  • Joseph Beuys (The great teacher and artist. Warmth over coldness)
  • Jorg Immendorf (German artist who coined the phrase, "Painting must assume the function of the potato. He makes great paintings too.)
  • Christo (A fantastic installation artist that really involves the community and all aspects of life into his art. When he can get the cashier ladies at the grocery store to discuss what is art, oh dude! That is incredible)
  • Edward Hopper (Great moods established by his work. Amazing colors)
  • Jackson Pollack (The studly artist himself.)
  • Starn Twins (Their work is totally my aesthetic)
  • Laslzo Moholy-Nagy (The masta of transparency and structure)
Favorite Gallery
Fassbender Gallery (Chicago) Great combination of art. Great aesthetics and interesting theory.

Looney Tune Character
Wile E. Coyote (He is the most creative cartoon character ever. Plus, he never ever gives up. The scenery in the desert is just plain cool. He doesn't talk at all. In the episode were he did, he was pure genius. In fact to quote him as he plots his next move, "Wile E. Coyote, SUUUUPER GENIUS!" Then BAM! He gets run over by a train.)

Marvin the Martian (This dude is cool because the whole premise behind his cartoons is aesthetics. He wanted to blow up the Earth, because it was blocking his view of Venus. What a warrior for all things aesthetic! Thanks to my painting professor, Miles Bair, for enlightening me of this.)
Type of Music
Dance
Reggae
Swing
(Something that has a good beat and groove)
Musician
Fatboy Slim
Louis Armstrong
(no, they are not the same artist)
TV Show
  • Simpsons (Goofy)
  • 3 Stooges (Pure slap-schtick goofiness)
  • Boston Public
  • Futurama (I like how it portrays the future in a very goof-a-rama way)
  • Perfect Strangers (Balkay was just a goofball. That other dude was a great compliment to him.)
  • Tom and Jerry (Fantastic violence)
Books
"Mapping the Terrain: New Genre Public Art" edited by: Suzanne Lacy (This book is a great influence on my thinking of art. It is incredibly postive and forward thinking)

Bible (It's what to live by)
Magazines
Print (A bit more goofier than CA)
Communication Arts (Nice clean design)
Adobe Magazine (A must read from cover to cover)
