another ripoff soda pop contest
Dr. Pepper Armchair quarterback challenge states you could win up to $1 Million plus 1 of 100 Jeep Wranglers. However to enter, you have to hand print your name, address, phone # and age on a 3"x5" card and mail it!
MAIL IT? ppph, yeah right. Looks like Dr. Pepper doesn't a large number of people to enter.

voting suggestion
After I voted this week, I thought that voting ballots should have questions specifically about issues. i.e. do you support a war on Iraq?
A problem with voting for candidates is that you can never find one that fully supports your beliefs. But voting for specific issues makes people feel like they are actually being heard.
It would also help to clear up what the American public really believes in. No more of these skewed inaccurate polls that come from nowhere.
Specific issues questions isn't currently being done, because when a person in office doesn't vote the way their constituents are clearly stating, choas may ensue. But it would hold our elected officials to more accountable on how they vote.

2002 vs. 2003 the battle royale of years
I loved 2002 for a year. So symmetrical so neat. 2003 is just confused. I can't wait until 2004, that sounds more fun than 2003. 2004 implies multiplication. Now if we could jump up to 3003, that would rock. What's 1,000 years? It's nuthin.
But I really like 2003 as 03. Not only is three my lucky number, but it just looks more bad a** with the zero in front. Yeah, bring on 03.

Peaceful protest in Chicago
Due to the large showing presence of the Chicago Police, the annual world protest was a peaceful one. I like how some of the police were so decked out that they looked like Galactic Storm Troopers from Star Wars.

Sign Strategy
When there's a big cluster of candidate signs, I wonder if the sign placer person is considering where to put their sign within the context of all the other signs. "Oh, I don't want my sign to be to THAT person's sign." Or perhaps just the opposite. "Oh, THAT person's sign is there. WELL! I'm just gonna HAVE to put mine right next to it."
