The most expensive ACEO artworks sold on eBay reveals a wonderful fantasy world. (ACEO stands for Artists Cards Editions and Originals, which are baseball card sized artist cards).
Star Filled Sky, aka Bridget Voth, is one of the top artists. In the past three months, 12 fantasy paintings have been sold for over $200. The artist behind “Star Filled Sky” is a bit of a mystery. Her eBay store only says, “The Fine Art of Bridget Voth. Based in United States, star-filled-sky has been an eBay member since Oct 02, 2000”

Further research reveals Bridget Voth has an Etsy page with a longer bio:
I am a self-taught artist and have been drawing and painting since I was old enough to hold a brush. I enjoy living in beautiful Colorado and find the surroundings frequently inspire my art. Horses have been a big part of my life from a very young age and I love painting them, but also enjoy painting birds, cats, dogs, other animals, landscapes, and fantasy scenes.
I work in various media, including acrylics, gouache (opaque watercolor), transparent watercolor, colored pencils, pastel, and graphite. Realism and impressionism are my two favorite styles and I frequently combine them in my works.
My paintings have won awards and are in collections throughout the U.S. and other countries. I have been selling art professionally online for 8 years. I truly appreciate your support!
Painting brings me such joy, and I hope that my art will bring some joy to YOU, too!
There’s even a Bridget Voth Page on Facebook. Run by a fan, the page has 4,893 likes. A highly engaged community follows Voth’s work. Each post regularly gets 80+ likes.
When I was looking up the top ACEO auctions on eBay, my first gut reaction was, “oh my, the internet is a crazy place where these fantasy paintings can be the top selling ACEO cards on eBay!” But, the more I look at Voth’s work, the more I like and appreciate it. These are simply scenes that are simply what the artist loves: cute animals in nature. More power to Voth to be able to sell so much of her work on eBay. She inspires me to start making ACEO paintings that I enjoy for myself, without the worry of what “Art” critics will say.
