This is one of my favorite pieces, to be sure. If you ever decide to put up for sale, please let me know. Very clever use of a found object. Nice illustration. Fun. Funny. Well-designed. Nice complete design with company name and replacement part number!

Kevin Strandberg, my sculpture professor in college, gave me a normal used eyewash station (without the art references you see now). He said that he was just throwing it out, but he thought that I could think of something to do with it.

My brother and I had a reputation for collecting items like this from garbage and dumpster to make art.

This piece sat around for a few days, and the senior show was coming up. Everyone was thinking of fun things to do for the show. So this eyewash station seemd a natural fit for the show.

It didn't have the eyewash bottle with it, but Wal-Mart had these bottles with a green cap that fit perfectly. These soda bottles were also served in the lobby as drinks for the show opening. Not many people drank from them for the fear of it really being eyewash.

Post-Viewing Art Eyewash

Positioned by the exit of the gallery, visitors can humorously rid the visions of the artwork left in their eyes by the artwork they had just seen.

This is a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the notion that certain artwork can have a negative impact on its viewers.
