I think someone did take the tv. It was gone within hours.

I had a broken RCA T.V. sitting in my sunroom until I moved. I took the T.V. to the dumpster the day that I moved and on the next trip to the dumpster, the T.V. was gone! I looked up and down the alley SHOCKED that it could disappear so quickly!

wow tom, and it didn't even have a sign. These boxes sure are desirable.

The only thing I can think is that someone who thought they could fix it picked it up. I don't really think someone picked it up thinking it worked. "Oh look! Someone lost their perfectly good T.V."

Though just to contradict myself, I did throw away a T.V. that worked just fine once. That was the start of a 5 year period without a T.V. set.

i think they took the TV assuming that it worked. if they got it home and it didn't work, then i'm sure they put it back out in the garbage.

no no. the tv still worked!... kinda.

Only occasionally would it just turn off by itself. The weird thing is that sometimes it would turn on by itself too.

So with that article on antigravity, are you suggesting that my tv would turn itself on and off by itself because of electrofugal forces?

TV Discovery

I had an old crappy tv that nobody wanted anymore. So I put the tv in the alley with this sign. I'd love to see the look the person's face who found it. And especially when the person takes it and uses it in their home. They will have this neat story to tell.

There's also a post about this on my blog.
