Their write-up on Michigan Avenue is nice.
However, they completely ignore Millennium Park, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the Chicago Cultural Center. They decided to include Michigan Ave starting north of the Chicago River. That's too bad. The Art Institute is one of the world's greatest museums and the Chicago Cultural Center is Chicago's best kept secret and my favorite place to visit in the city.
One of the many nice things about the Cultural Center is its welcomeness. You can go right in and sit down and relax. Other places you either have to pay to get in. Or once you are inside there's no place to really sit unless if you go to their cafeteria where you feel obliged to buy food.
But at the CCC, you get the grand experience of this beautiful old building, yet the casualness of being able to sit back like it's your living room.

Chicago's NORTH Michigan Avenue is on the list ... and only the very "Northiest". As moose points out, the write-up includes fodder on the space north of the river. That's not a problem in and of itself. The problem is that they should have referred to the avenue as "The Magnificent Mile". That's the stretch of avenue that relates to everything the site talks about.

I wonder what North Michigan Avenue was like 30 years ago.
