Depends on what building you live in. The elevators in our old building (350 W. Oakdale) were dirty and didn't work half the time.
Hrmph. My work elevator hasn't been operational for two whole weeks now. Our maintenance staff says it's an "electrical problem." Suuuure . . . Funny how everything else in the damn building is functioning enough where I still have to be here. :oP
