Matt,
You are allowed to hold the quarter vertically on the table. Then you give it just one flick. At the moment of that first flick, start your time. Once the quarter has completely stopped, end your time. No additional flicks are allowed.

Matt, the longest time a quarter has been spun when ur able to flick it is 5 minutes 48.3seconds. I have broke it before but i dont know who to contact.

so,,, is there a record for something similar to spinning a flat piece of something round (with an edge)
instead of a basketball which I cannot seem to do at all.
any talented basketball players out there? can you spin a flat round tray with a diameter of roughly a foot? if so,, how long,, I would like to know what sort of competition I am up to. thanks

hi. what's the record for spinning bar maid trays which have quarters spinning on top of them while holding 245 pennies in the other hand. I spun a bar maid tray for 22.98 seconds, but the quarter fell off at 18.3... and i dropped four pennies. who do i contact regarding this?
