The dark choc Kit Kat is the best thing Hershey has ever done. White chocolate sucks in every form. Don't waste your and my time with that. Make dark Kit Kats a standard item and sell them year-round. I, my family, and my friends will buy them in huge quantities.

did you know that white chocolate really isn't chocolate? I forget why. I saw it on the food network. Tom could probably explain this.
White chocolate is not true chocolate because it contains no chocolate liquor and, likewise, very little chocolate flavor. Instead, it's usually a mixture of sugar, cocoa butter, milk solids, lecithin and vanilla.
Read the label: if cocoa butter isn't mentioned, the product is confectionery [or summer] coating, not white chocolate.
Beware of products labeled artificial chocolate or chocolate-flavored . They are, just as the label states, not the real thing and both flavor and texture confirm that fact.

hershey's kisses just came out in dark chocolate. although, i've tried hershey's dark chocolate products, and find them a bit lacking. i prefer foreign dark chocolate, like Ghiradelli or Lindt.

Just within the past two months, Dove's dark chocolate has really been failing. Yes, i eat enough of it to know the difference. Dove's dark chocolate used to be so smooth. Now it's even more dry and chalky than Hershey's dark chocolate. And Hershey's has some of the worst dark chocolate on the market! Dove, what has happened to you?

I should ask a couple of friends about the Dove issue to see if they have also noticed a change in quality. You should write to the manufacturer. Better yet, call them. They'll probably send you coupons for free chocolate

Oh yeah, Dove Dark Chocolate is the BEST! That stuff got me hooked on Dark Chocolate. When I was a kid I used to hate the stuff, but now, for some reason, I totally prefer it over milk chocolate anyday!
As far as the kit-kats go...the dark chocolate ones are sooooo good. Oh, and if you didn't know, Twix just came out with a Dark Chocolate and it is equally...soooo good! Mmm!!!

The dark chocolate m&m's don't taste much different from the milk chocolate ones, IMO, because the candy shell seems to be the most strong taste in both. Still, the "dark side" bags are much cooler. :o)

Dark chocolate IS regular chocolate. Milk is for those who cannot handle its delicious bitter complexities. And taking the cocoa out of chocolate makes it non-chocolate. Like non-alcoholic beer. And whoever said Ghirardelli is foreign needs to be corrected. It's from San Francisco.

Dark chocolate is the Ultimate:
1) its the richest in flavour
2) has the most health benifits(flavinoids and antioxidants)
3)is actually chocolate (unlike wihite chocolate)
4) is so rich that you eat less of it (unless you are a serious addict,... guilty as charged) which means that you eat less of its calories, yet you can enjoy its chocolateness. win win situation

White Chocolate most definitely. I don't really like regular chocolate and I absolutely despise dark chocolate. White Chocolate is awesome and I think there should be more candy made with it so there is an option for those who don't enjoy chocolate. There is plenty of candy available that has both milk and dark chocolate.

Dark Chocolate is the real thing. White chocolate and "Milk" don't rate. The Ancient Mayans drank their chocolate very dark without milk (there are no dairy animals native to the western hemisphere)with honey, vanilla and a dash of chile pepper. One of the best inventions of mankind! Real dark chocolate (80% and higher) will give you a chocolate high, not to mention that it's good for your cardiovascular health. I like to gnaw on a bar of 100% Organic Fair Trade Baking Chocolate with a sprinkle of maple syrup.
