Moroccan Blue topped the list of colors at New York Fashion Week's Fall 2005 collections, according to Pantone, Inc., the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries.
Each season, Pantone surveys designers showing at New York Fashion Week and collects feedback on prominent collection colors, color inspiration, color philosophy and each designer's signature shades. This information is used to create the PANTONE Fashion Color Report.
The top 10 most directional women's ready-to-wear colors for Fall 2005 (along with printing values) are:
1. PANTONE 19-4241 Moroccan Blue C=100 M=50 Y=20 K=40

VERY cool. I love that the top two colors are versions of blue and orange, complimentary colors on the color wheel and perhaps my favorite color combination.

Oooh, I like Gloxinia. Never heard that term before, but I like it!

alot of those colors are deep hues. It's interesting to see that deep hues are still trendy.
I've always enjoyed the blue/orange color combo as well, Tom. I especially like the fact that those shades of blue and orange have that musty tone.
Though I really like gunmetal blue too. This blue on the list needs to have more gray and less blue.
Pantone 19-1629 looks like the burgundy from Crimson Skies (the best Xbox Live game ever.)
Does anyone have the spring/summer 2006 top pantones?
Thanks

What is a good color to wear to a late October wedding?
PANTONE 18-1154 Glazed Ginger C=0 M=50 Y=100 K=27 Is beautiful! This color is also good for interior walls in a home especially a kitchen or dinning room with a bone or beige crown molding.

The new colors are nice, but rather gloomy.

Deep, intoxicating Ruby Wine appeared as long gowns at Ralph Lauren, a slinky dress at Vera Wang, a sleeveless dress at Luca Luca by Luca Orlandi, and a tiered skirt at Oscar de la Renta. Atmosphere, a taupe-gray, was prevalent at Zac Posen, Proenza-Schouler and Peter Som. Carolina Herrera and Marc Jacobs chose tweeds in Atmosphere, while Luca Luca used it for coats, dresses and soft floral prints. It appeared as a satin coat and pant at Chado Ralph Rucci, and as a tuxedo at Baby Phat.

The violet color in CMYK looks nice. There was a joke: Why do computer geeks love to see girls dressed in violet? Because violet in RGB is 90-60-90.
