Do you feed and water your ants?
It looks like the ant numbers are dwindling. I wonder what is the average life expectancy of an ant ?

the ants get four drops of sugar water every other day. once a week they get some ant food.
ants are to live about 2-3 months.
we started off with about 30 ants. At last count we had about 15.

it does not come with a queen ant. The queen ant is illegal to ship in the United States.
Yes, eventually all the ants will die off. Who will be the last survivor?
Actually, we found out that if you open the top and blow into the ant farm, they GO NUTS! So we were able to get a more accurate count. 19-20 ants are alive.
