Power Point: power socket energy usage visualization


A special power socket called Power Point that tells you how much power is being consumed by that socket. It will show you how much power individual appliances draws, so you you can re-evaluate how to consume power. Not yet released.

This sounds like a great concept! It would be nice if the final design could be made portable - a meter you could insert between an appliance and a standard electrical outlet - that way you could compare power consumption on different appliances easily without installing these all over the house?

Also, Micros--t might have something to say about the product's name. ;)
