Original painting used for the ten-dollar bill

Alexander Hamilton is featured on the American 10-dollar bill. The source of this image is John Trumbull's 1805 portrait of Hamilton that belongs to the portrait collection of New York City Hall. Here's animation featuring the portrait overlayed on top of the 1929-2003 $10 bill and the 2003-present $10 bill.

it's interesting to study the change in hair styles. The current 10 dollar bill looks like a wig compared to the others.

Given the style of the early 1800s, I bet it was a wig!

That is so bizarre! He looks like a completely different person in each version! Look at his nose, lips, forehead, cheekbones, ears, hair [which you boys mentioned]. Ridiculous! Are there no standards?
