A workspace where designers, writers, freelancers and entrepreneurs can consistently meet and get work done together. Working alone can get a bit lonely. I know. Tribune Company gave me a sabbatical for four months in 2006 where I worked by myself learning a CMS program, Drupal. I thought I’d love to be able to work from home. But then I found out that I greatly desired working with other people. A search for shared office spaces in Chicago came up blank.
The San Francisco Chronicle article “Shared work spaces a wave of the future" repeaked my interest in shared office spaces. This post will be a collection of spaces in Chicago. Feel free to post anything you know about here.
I can barely imagine you working home ... alone. That's depressing on so many levels for so many reasons.
I've been entertaining the idea of finding a professional kitchen space to maybe perhaps to accept some culinary jobs, but I need to start at square one and get my sanitation license first.
You just need to find a lady and get married, matt. I would love to have a 4 month sabbatical. A couple years ago, I took a full week off of work and got a ton of baseball drawings done. I do remember craving social interaction more during that period which was fulfilled when my wife would come home from work.
Hi. I'm Matt Maldre. Every single weekday my blog on spudart.org has a new post with an original idea or discovery. Be sure to stop by daily to see what's happening.
