Mistake on Cubs half-dollar coin set

There's an "OFFICIALLY LICENSED CHICAGO CUBS 3-COIN SET" being sold that features three accomplishments by recent Chicago Cubs players. But uh, hello. Alfonso Soriano did not join the 40-40 club while with the Cubs in 2006. Soriano got 40 homers and 40 stolen bases while playing for the WASHINGTON SENATORS in 2006.

Nice to see that this is fully Licensed & Authorized by the MLB Players Association.

I don't understand these coins. They put stickers on top of half dollar coins? This is pretty dumb. They should strike their own coins. Putting stickers on coins and selling them as a coin set seems really weird.

yeah, it's gotta be a sticker. It's odd that I can't find these coins anywhere online except by this one ebay seller. This smells of total rip-off here. I wonder what the MLBPA contact info is. I'm gonna ask.

I asked the seller, "Are these images stickers applied to a half dollar?"

He responded, "no, they are NOT sitckers. It is a special heated printing process, each coin is done individually"
