The blog filled with creative thoughts

What day is it?

I find it funny when people at work are sitting at their computers and ask what the day is. Um. It's on your computer. It's nice and all they are being friendly and socialable by asking another human. But really. It's on your computer. If someone tells you the day, they might be wrong. Computer is not wrong.

(My INTJ personality is really shining bright here.)

Oh! If you unplug my five-year-old Dell laptop, plug it back in and turn it back on, the date will say 2001 or something. So, um, in that case, Computer is WRONG! :D I suspect it will officially die at some point here. I'm actually kind of surprised it has lasted this long. What's the expiration date on laptops?

That's your Dell at home, right? i hope the computers at work do not give incorrect dates. In fact, i'm pretty sure that the dayaskers at work have computers that reliably give the correct date.

Yes, it's my home computer. I primarily use it for Sims, but having to correct the date and time is kind of a pain, so I keep it plugged in when I can.

Kristi's old work computer used to do the same thing, only I think the default date would be like 1901 or something. Thank gawd she got a fancy new one; changing the date/time every morning when you get to work would get annoying.
