Paper towel conservation

"Always rip a paper towel in half before using."
--Matt Maldre, 2009

Much of paper towels go unused. After using a paper towel, unfold it and see how much was actually used. In my case it's often around one-third. I love the Select-a-Size towels. I like to rip the towel in half before using. And that doesn't mean you can toss out the other half if it doesn't get used. At work I have a food drawer that I stash unused napkins and half-towels.

I buy the "Select a Size" towels and have noticed a reduction in the amount of rolls I go through in a month

Yes! I, too, recently started by the "select a size" paper towels and have noticed a marked difference in my paper towel usage. My household used to go through about three regular rolls of paper towels a month. Now we go through one "select a size" roll a month.

Geniuses!

Lisa S, yes!
Now you just need to rip those smaller size of paper towels in half. Although there are many times when the job at hand is a one full towel job. But many times half a towel will suffice just nicely.

Astro, you know it! Actually. Can i be purple?
