How to cut a pizza in a fun way

Fun pizza cutting: Bunny rabbit/sunset
One of the fun things about frozen pizzas is that you get to slice it in any way you choose. Want pie slices? No prob. Squares are your thing? Totally.

But the coolest thing of all is to do wacky cuts. Pictured above is a half of a pizza that I was planning on saving (so I don't eat the entire thing myself). But then I thought it would be fun to just cut out the center and eat the exact middle of the pizza. Then that looked like a sunset. I cut out some sun rays. I tell ya, eating a pizza sun ray is just really cool. Now looking back at this pizza, it looks like a rabbit.

Other fun cuts to do are:
* The spiral cut
* The totally random mis-shape cuts
* The wave
* The extremely thin long rectangle slices
* A regular pie cut, but instead of the epicenter being in the middle, move the epicenter to a point on the circumference

What are some fun cuts you have done or are thinking of doing?

I like the spiral cut. That way you can say you only had once piece. (arg arg arg)

Wonder if lightning bolts ... and you guessed it: ★s would work ... I think both would leave small scraps. (arg arg arg).

One piece! That's funny--and true! I like the laughing too. I'm gonna steal that. Thank you.

My next pizza will be a lightning bolt. Last night I cut half circles around the edge to simulate as if someone was taking big bites around the edge of the pizza. It ended up looking like a big squat or splash. I need to post a photo of it. Oh maybe I'll do it now. Please excuse me a moment while I post.... +posted+ It looked like this. http://www.flickr.com/photos/spudart/4149489845/

I should really stop eating the slices as i cut them. The uneaten slices should be in the photo.

Your idea:

is fabulous! This way if someone is over, they probably won't take any because it ... looks like someone else's piece! hahahaha or arg arg arg!

(didn't realize I had sharing issues with pizza ... greedy? maybe.)

What's on your pizza? I want some! Mine has everything non-meat. The more toppings the better.

The "square" cut is called "The Chicago Box Cut" : )

What's on my pizza? Depends. But I can tell you, you will not find meat (not a vegetarian, just don't like it on my pizza) ... you will not find mushrooms, or any anchovies!
:) <| ~ right now, spinach sounds good!

yeah. me too. meat on pizza is just a collection for extra grease. Pepperoni are grease plates. Sausage are grease balls. Now that being said, if i'm with a group of people and they want to get meat on their pizza, I'll roll with the punches and eat the meat toppings.

no mushrooms? oh those are so good.
Black olives good.
Green olives good.
tomatoes good.
OH SO MANY OPTIONS.
here's a nice list
http://www.recipepizza.com/toppings/

I gotta try black beans on my pizza. But not a nacho pizza. That's just trying to be cute, which is appreciated. I'd like a nacho pizza. But what I'm taking about is just black beans without having to be cute. Take the black beans for what they are and don't pigeonhole them into the nacho pizza.

What a wonderful world we live in that has all these pizza topping options. It makes me want to learn how to cook.

"Yay!" that's the Black beans ... who are happy to hear that you like them for just what they are... black beans!

thanks for that recipepizza.com site info - pretty cool ... ooo! pesto pizza!

OK. I'm walking away from the pizza for now ...

ok, changed my mind :) <|

I LOVE green olives on a pizza, but when I have a green olive pizza, that's all that I have on it ... though now that I think of it, sun-dried tomato would be good with green olives

@tomsaaristo why green olives instead of black olives?

Posted by: spudart on Dec 03, 09 | 10:50 am

I'm not a fan of black olives. I don't think they taste like much. That they are packed in water doesn't help their cause.
