Twitter is currently down. Here's what is on their homepage:
Twitter is currently down for <%= reason %>.
We expect to be back in <%= deadline %>.
I want to write my work emails like that. I plan to have this report done by <%= deadline %>.
A look at
twitter's blog doesn't reveal anything. Their last post was July 19th. Today is July 26. They haven't posted in a week. Twitter can't stand to make at least one post a day? It's twitter.
400 million tweets are sent per day. And they can't make just one blog post a day?
Maybe their
Facebook Page will have more updates. Nope. Posts from July 24, July 19, July 2, June 29, and June 26. That's four facebook updates in one month.
Maybe Twitter is somehow a small company? Nope.
900 employees. Weird.
Granted, there used to be days that twitter would go down about every other day. But in the past year twitter rarely goes down, so we have an expectation that the service will just work. When it does go down, we are left wondering why. Their blog or Facebook Page would be a good place to give some sort of explanation.
