Hunger = Better Design

I design better when I'm hungry.

If i just ate something, I can't design. But when I haven't eaten anything in a while, I can design much better. Why is that?

I know what you mean. I think it's harder to be creative after eating because often you get a little sleepy. Plus, eating interrupts whatever "roll" you were on.

When you're done eating, your entire being is working on processing the food for energy. Some foods are better at "staying quiet" while they are being digested, while other foods take over. If you ate a chicken breast for lunch, you probably wouldn't notice much change in your brilliancy. Heavier meals, candy, and foods like turkey that have enzymes that try to knock you out in order to complete digestion will prevent the blood from reaching your brain making it more of a challenge to think and be creative with all your might.

Maybe that's why Wyle E. Coyote is always coming up with creative ways to catch the Road Runner: he's starving!

One more thought: "Starving Artist" :P
