Huh? Why wouldn't the branches get in the way? They are still there? Don't you WANT the branches to be "in the way" or available...isn't that where you hang your ornaments?
It would be more trouble to invert the tree and secure it into place than it would be to suffer a few pokes of some soft pine needles in order to decorate your tree.
Where you guys on a sugar rush or something? ;-)

Can I purchase an up-side down Xmas tree?
How can you turn an artificial tree into an up-side down tree?
Thanks,
Jan

whatever you do, DON'T just put up a normal christmas tree and try shaving it down so it looks upside down, you'll just end up with a big stick tree:

What next, Mistle Toe on the Floor? Everyone I've talked to thinks it stupid! The posted comments mention that some of you want one because everyone else has one. If they all jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge, would you follow them too!

I think that the inverted christmas tree is a little wierd, but it might be kinda cool in a room with a big, high celling. Kinda like a chandelier! for christmas time!

These trees are all the rage and yet no one has seen the benefit. They were first used in department stores. Small products can be hung on the branches at eye level for the customer to easily access. At the same time, there is still space on the floor to market larger items. Traditional trees "waste" more space than the inverted trees.

Originally this happened at Nordstoms in Los Angeles when a store employee, still high on crack from the night before...thought it would be chic!
This is your brain.
This is your brain on crack.
This is your Christmas Tree while you were still on crack.

Why are you people obsessed with these rediculous (?) upsidedown trees? If God had meant for us to admire a tree inverted He would have created then that way OR we all would be walking around on our hands saying "OOOOH" "AHHHH" "WOW"
I believe we've all forgotten just what Christmas is really about. Get your heads on straight.

Queen Victoria hung Christmas trees for the Windsor Castle Christmas celebration in 1860. A contemporary description:
“The Queen’s private sitting-rooms, three in number, were lighted up with Christmas trees hung from the ceiling, the chandeliers being taken down. These trees, of immense size, besides others on the tables, were covered with bonbons and coloured wax lights. Some of the trees were made to appear as if partially covered with snow. "
While it doesn't explicitly state they were upside down, that's the only logical way to hang them -- by the sturdy trunk and so you can see the array of branches.

i visited windsor castle in april! I think i know of these private sitting rooms. windsor castle rocks steady! get it? rocks? the castle is made with rocks. har har. The Queen's flag was flying so she was there when I was there. Pretty cool.
i bet the christmas trees looked fabulous in Windsor Castle.
If you're curious to see what Windsor Castle looks like, I have 12 photos on my website:
http://unlikelymoose.com/art/photograph/london/windsor_castle/1_7098.html
There's links so you can buy tons and tons of photos too. a 4x6 print is only 5 bucks. can't beat that!
Well I am a old fashion man, an inverted
Christmas tree is not my option, no matter the advantages. I would loose something from the Christmas spirit.
