Tribune windows crack as Cubs fans hearts shatter

After the heart-breaking loss of the Chicago Cubs, it was time to take down the huge night window sign on the Tribune Tower, home of the Cubs owners. As the Tribune engineers removed the half-inch thick gatorboards, they discovered that many of the windows had cracked due to the black boards warping in the warm sun. (black absorbs heat, and the boards were on the south side of the building where it gets the most sun)
Half way through removing the boards, the engineers came to the 14th floor at the top of the "U" in "GO CUBS" where they discovered the 23rd broken window.
One could imagine that as soon as Steve Bartman interfered with the foul ball two days ago, a few windows in Tribune Tower cracked at the same time. Alex Gonzalez bobbling the ball, a few more windows shattered. Just as the Cubs broke apart, Cubs fans hearts burst, and Tribune Tower broke out cries of pain.
