geodesic dome home

I wonder what it is like to live in one of these dome things. This one looks really nice. This one looks like crap. You end up with lots of triangle windows and hexagon windows. And you're kitchen is just plain wacky with cabinets cut in half and normal rectangular furniture that just doesn't fit. And then you get to have really cool submerged triangle couches.

Well, first of all the feng shui is all out of wack in those things...That Christmas tree is DWARFED in that space...and it doesn't look like people living in geodesic homes have anymore taste than someone living in a trailer park in West Virginia. Never mind that nobody has thought about the fact that you really can't take traditional furniture and fixtures and expect it to work in a geodesic home...It doesn't look like the people who live in these homes are taking advantage of their unique living situation: cramming all their crappy furniture in a home not made for it. Maybe there will be a market for furniture and fixtures if and when geodesic homes really take off, but in the meantime, people need to get creative and throw the Ethan Allen catalog out their triangular windows.

Geodesic homes: COOL!
People who live in geodesic homes: BOR-ING
