having problems with leaky pens, are you?

No leaky pens. Pocket protectors are just cool. Seriously.

But at $1.77 a three-pack, can you really be sure they're quality pocket protectors?

so you don't want them for functional reasons. you are looking to their style and fashion qualities.

A co-worker and I were just dissing pocket protector wearers. Are you sure this will be a hot new trend? Among who?
Are you going to wear the pocket protector without pens? I could see the pocket protector as an accessory. I believe it's the pens that deflate the pocket protector to geekdom.
If this takes off, maybe they'll start coming in different colors, patterns, or materials.

If i have the use to put a pen in my pocket protector, I will do so. But I believe that a pocket protector does not necessarily need a pen. I would only put a pen in my pocket if I wanted one handy.
This calls into question the fuctionality of the pocket protector. If no pens are inserted into it, why wear one? Is it fashion? No. Any real pocket protector wearing maven would suggest that it's there just in case you wish to put a pen into your pocket.

Yeah, crissy. $1.77 per 3-pack does make one suspicious of the quality of plastic and production. Does one really need to go through THREE pocket protectors? But if a pen does leak, the protector would be trashed--this certainly speaks to the transitory nature of a pocket protector. Certainly it would be foolish to have one made out of gold.

what are you protecting against, if not pens?
Posted by: laura k. on Mar 16, 04 | 4:20 pm
Protecting against the evil forces of this planet! Or maybe it's protecting against all the good forces. One thing is for sure, it will attract in all the ladies. Oh yeah.

All I can say at this point is Matt you certainly have your own style. Pocket Protectors and Kenneth Cole jackets. Maybe you can have Kenneth Cole design the "new" pocket protector.
As far as attracting the ladies, could be, but probably only the very forward-thinking ones, the type of woman who is also a trendsetter.

My father used to wear a pocket protector...I thought he was pretty darn cool!..
I'm still looking to buy a pocket protector. Anyone have any good sources? I don't want to pay for the shipping for buying them online at Staples. The nearest Staples store is 43 miles away in Valparaiso, Indiana!

A mullet wig, a camoflauge hat, and a pocket protector ... You're going to end up on "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" before you can join a bowling league!
*faints*

Try taking the "nerd" out of the pocket protector with the Nerd Buster badge support at www.badgesupports.com Lock your ID badge into the top slot, display an optional pin, and carry business cards, calendar, phone list or other information in the clear pocket. Avoid droopy pockets and clothing damage, and prevent badge loss. Check it out.
