Observing lights

Here's something interesting to observe. Look at the lights wherever you go. What type of lights are they?
--Bright or dim
--Are they on the ceiling or on the ground
--Lots of lights or Few lights
--Diffused or Direct
--Square or Round
--Standard or Innovative

It's neat to see how places are lighted. Try it sometime.

they've been showing alot of pyramid/pharoh shows on TLC and The Discovery Channel lately. It's interesting to see how they light the inside of the pyramids.

They were showing one particular pyramid that caught my eye in terms of its modern lighting. They used baseboard light through. So the wall carvings were dramatically lit.

Then I was curious how they installed such lighting and who made the decisions to light it in such a way. From the video footage they did a clever job of installing the lights. Only a small, long horizontal box is on the floor. I didn't notice any wiring.

Electricity certainly wasn't in the original plans when building the pyramid, so a certain element of authenticity is lost. But what is gained is a richer, more dramatic experience of this pyramid. And last I checked, the ancient Egyptians had a flair for the dramatic, so I'm sure they would approve of the modern day lighting.
