Sarah, at first glance I thought you were talking about stretching my middle finger to be eight inches long.
My thumb / pinky finger span is 8.375 inches.
Laura, I'm talking one inch tall, not wide. Those would be some super fat fingers if they were one inch wide!

Have you measured them after a long shower when they get all pruny? You may need to compensate for water shrinkage.

my digits are on my middle fingers are 1.125" (1 1/8"). Matt and I are twins, but I don't get to use my middle finger digits for measuring inches.
Have you been hanging from monkey bars all day? We will have to compare.
