Pepsi Cool Million

Pepsi's newest promotion "Play Cool Million Cash Caps" seems like a big joke. You have to collect 11 caps each with a letter to spell out "COOL MILLION". Yeah, what are the freakin chances of this?

Right now, I've got letter "C". I'm betting that the letter "M" or "N" is the million dollar letter, since they appear only once in the letters. It would be really dirty if Pepis made it "O", because you'd have to get three of those to nap the million smackers.

I've got an O and a couple of L's. Let me know if you need 'em and I'll sell you them for 90 grand each.

well, "N" is not the rare letter for sure. Have 4 of them. Nor is it "C". I betcha it's the "M". Who wants to trade my C's and N's?

Posted by: coolgobi on Sep 26, 02 | 12:33 pm

I have a "C" and an "O". I'll take 80 thousand USD for either one.

Bwahahahahahahaha!!!

I had all ten soda caps, until one fiathful morning when I opened up that last Mt. Dew to reveal the letter, m. This letter is speical because it has lines around it. It looks like this -M- . I can't wait to win that sweepstakes!

Well, I got all 11, have had them sent in since Sept. 1. I agree, the elusive letter is "M." I received a t-shirt in the mail as an acknowledgement of my caps. Now it's just a waiting game!

I GOT ALL 11 CAPS TOO. SENT THEM IN 2 MONTH AGO. DOES ANYONE HAVE A COPY OF THE OFFICAL RULES? PLEASE SEND ME A COPY IF YOU DO.

I also collected all 11 caps ans sent them in august. I am just not sure when the winner is to be selected. Good luck to everyone who collected all of the game pieces.

Where was this contest offered? I was in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle and Boise) at the time and never saw it. Instead, they had two different contests. The first was on Mountain Dew, called "Rev It With Dew" and offered a Dodge Viper and Ram Truck as grand prizes. The second was on Pepsi, called "Your Taste Your Style" and it offered nothing more than $10 and $50 Visa Cards and discounts at Sam Goody and Foot Locker.

ALso, where can one still get caps with "Free 20 oz PEpsi/Dew" inside? Where I live (Seattle), the PEpsi Bottling Group hasn't offered that in 3 years (the bottles don't even advertise "1 in 12 wins free 20 oz" anymore).

I was pumped when I found that "M". The reality of how many people had them all has set in though. Oh, and 9/28/02 was the last date you could mail off for official rules and a free game piece. You had until 11/1/02 to get the caps in the mail. And I saw somewhere where it could take 4-6 weeks to identify the winner. Probably so they can do a background check (because family members of PepsiCo. employees aren't eligible.)

I love how there's no website so those of us who collected them all could check to see the new winner. Bastards

If someone finds out if this isn't a hoax, and Pepsi isn't screwin us all let me know. They should have a website, but they don't. I bought all of that pepsi, and all I got was a lousy t-shirt. I have had those caps in sinc early in July. I think it may be a hoax, and if they don't let us know soon, I might get mad. if anyone has any information, like the official rules, send them to me please. Thank you, and Good luck

I sent in all 11 caps in September and realized that everyone under the sun has the wonderful little M. I know of 2 other people in our little hometown. I did recieve the t-shirt and yet not a website, phone number, nothing on pepsi's homepage and if you do call pepsi they hang up on you. I know on one of the caps there is a toll free number where you can get a list of winners so if anyone has that number and would be willing to share that would be great:)

Posted by: Manda on Nov 19, 02 | 7:41 am

the phone number on the cap is: 1-888-279-0038 I am curious what Pepsi has to say.

Posted by: Matt on Nov 19, 02 | 9:56 am

I just called that number (thanks) and it was just a recording saying that the contest is infact over and that the caps had to be in their office by the 7th. It then went on to if you want to speek to a live person stay on the line.... for 56 minutes and then a dead line. Humm....

Posted by: Manda on Nov 19, 02 | 10:17 am

A breakthrough... The winning million dollar winner will be picked on Nov. 30. The winner will also be contacted 7-10 after that by either mail or phone. Good luck to all that entered:)

We had all 11 caps back in July. Called Pepsi, and they were all surprised we had all of them so fast. We sent them in and now waiting. I thought, though, that the drawing date was November 1, and it would take 4-6 weeks to know. I sure wish it would hurry, everyone keeps asking if we won yet, or heard anything. I sent in a request for a list of winners. Got the T-Shirt. Hope we win.

Posted by: Julie on Nov 20, 02 | 12:21 am

I spoke to a nice lady at the 800 number listed on the caps Friday (11-29). I asked if the drawing was still to be on the 30th, and she said it had been put back a couple weeks to allow the "semi-load" of caps entries that had arrived on the last day possible to be verified. I was heart broken because I thought I was one of a few entries. Oh well, the odds of winning still have to be better than the Lottery. Good luck .

P.S. I wonder how much money the post office made on this deal - I know I spent $15.00 to mail my caps.

Posted by: Caryn on Dec 01, 02 | 9:02 am

I called and talked to a "live" person. She told me that the drawing didn't take place on the 30th (as I was told previously) due to a lack of entries. She told me she thought they might extend the date. I agree...there is something very weird going on here!

Posted by: mudcat on Dec 02, 02 | 10:45 am

Got sick of talking to pepsi so I went down and had a chat with our mail person and she said that "off-the-record" I was 1 of about 10 to go through that post office. The reason I find this so interesting is that our town is not even 5,000 people. Does anyone know when the real drawing is now??

Posted by: Manda on Dec 03, 02 | 8:26 am

Hey I sent my caps off in October and I'm interested to see who the winner is myself. I've always thought these kinds of contests were a little shady. Anyway, if anyone knows how to request a winner list -- if you'd let me know I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks and good luck everyone.

Wow, and we thoght we were the only ones out there with the -M- cap. When my 11 y/o decided he wanted to collect all the caps from my diet Mt. Dews and enter the drawing, I thought it was a good way to show him that most people are just out to take your money...it looks like this will turn out to be a good lesson after all.
We had 10 out of 11 for the longest time. Then, early one monday morning on the way to school we stopped to get the boys some chocolate milk (their caffeine) and, since I don't drink coffee, I bought my standard early morning diet mountain dew. To our amazement there it was, the long awaited -M- cap. We were all so excited and speechless. We sent it off and recieved the standard T-shirt from Mr. R. Drinkall. (Yeah, I'm so sure, like that's his given name, rrrright.)
Anyway, I talked to the pespi people this morning. They told me the drawing would be take place in a few weeks because they are "still counting all those caps". I found this messege board while searching for the Pespi and Young America websites. My heart sank when I found out that there are so many other people feeling the same disappointment as I do. Well maybe they'll make it into a movie...Sandra Bullock can play me and Satan can play Ron Drinkall.

Pepsi does have a website. www.pepsi.com
But
don't waste your time. So far as of today, nothing, nada! I had called before Thanksgiving to request a list of rules and was told they are not sending any out. Hmmmmm!

Any news yet? It is 12/11 and I still haven't heard that the drawing happened. E-mail me with any links or phone numbers to get more info.

Posted by: russ on Dec 11, 02 | 12:56 pm

I know who the winner is. If you want to know email me. They had the drawing on tues 12/3/02. I also have a list of the winners coming to me.

It was the first one to get all of the pieces in first to win the millions.

I do not know why Pepsi can't put the winners name on their web home page. What is the big secret.

According to a story in the Daily Herald, a local Chicago suburban newspaper, Zania Holden of Romeoville, IL was the grand prize winner on the $1 million.
