Your age by chocolate math

Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! This is not one of those wastes of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate. (More than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold)

3. Add 5. (For Sunday)

4. Multiply it by 50 I'll wait while you get the Calculator...............

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1754....
If you haven't, add 1753.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number...

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2004) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

i already did this for 2006 but all you have to do is change the nuber in it bye bye

It doesn't matter how often you desire chocolate, it will always give you your correct age (in 2004) because it asks for your birthyear, the rest is a bunch of mathematical manipulation I don't feel like exploring, using any number 2 to 10 will give you the same answer.

With step 5...

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1754....
If you haven't, add 1753.

Just change the last digits of the first number to the current year and the second numbers last digit to the previous year. so to make this work in 2007 step 5 would be...

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1757....
If you haven't, add 1756.

Get it...? lol

This is junk i tried it but it said i was 9. This is wrong. I did everything right about 10 times over and it was the same answer every time. The number was 909

I cracked it.

The first four steps will always give you a number ending in 50 i.e. 1 x 2 = 2 + 5 = 7 x 50 = 350 and so on.

Subtract your birthyear from 1758 / 1759 will give you a negative number that when 350 is added always gives your age.

To illustrate, I was born in 1974, subtracted from 1758 will give me negative 216. so you can eyeball it and figure out that if you add 50, it'll give you 34 (my age).

It works out for any age, and will work in any year, just add one every year (i.e. 1758/1759 becomes 1759/1760)

Thanks for this, this is really neat. I needed to find some kind of number pattern for a paper I have to write for my college math course and I'm going to use this :)
