Chicago Cubs not doing good with opening games lately

For the past seven seasons the Chicago Cubs are 1-7 for their season opener game. The one win came in 2003.

But in their total history since 1876, they have won 57.3% of their opening day games

Longest season opening game winning streak:
8 seasons: 1915-1922

Longest season opening game losing streak:
4 seasons: 1946-1949, 1991-1994, 1999-2002

I hope you're not complaining. Have you seen my team in action. The Cubs are a joy to watch after catching a few Rockies games.
