I can't even imagine you becoming a fan of any other team. At least you're staying in the National League. Why not throw everything away and come over the American League. You can be a Tiger's fan with moi ;)

I've never understood baseball fandom. :(
But...
Go Angels! What are they now? The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim playing at formerly-Edison International, but now just plain ol' Angels' Stadium?

You can't root for another team in the same league. That is wrong.
Next thing you will ask is if you can root for the Cardinals or Brewers.

MATT. THIS BLOG POST HAS MADE ME ILL. PHYSICALLY ILL. MY STOMACH IS SERIOUSLY TURNING. THERE'S A KNOT IN MY THROAT. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOUR WORDS. I'M UTTERED WITH SICKNESS. AND YES. ALL THESE WORDS ARE MEANT TO BE READ WITH MY VOICE RAISED.
haha! I wanted to see what you would say. What would you say is the top list of teams that a Cubs fan should NOT be a fan of?
1) White Sox
2) Cardinals (in the Cubs division)
3) New York Mets (for 1969)
4) Houston Astros (in the Cubs division)
4) San Diego Padres (for 1984)
5) Florida Marlins (for 2003)
6) Atlanta Braves (for 1998, plus they are just idiots, anyways)
7) San Fransicso Giants (for 1989)
8) Cinci Reds (Dusty Baker now manages them)
9) Houston Astros
10) Milwaukee Brewers
Do you have a different order? Am I missing any teams?

you list the Astros twice.
Here's my list:
1. White Sox (for hating on the Cubs so much and for being arrogant jerks (fans and players) throughout their history)
2. Cardinals (for hating on the Cubs so much and for being a bunch of country culture-less hicks)
3. Mets (The Mets are the anti-Cubs. For everything that the Cubs are, the Mets aren't. Just compare Wrigley to the white trash pit where the Mets play)
4. Braves (just cuz they won so freaking much in the 90s and it drove me crazy. And that tomahawk chop. mindless drones.)
5. Reds (new to the list simply because of Dusty Baker.)
I don't hate on the pads, marlins, or giants so much. It's the Cubs' own fault for losing playoff games against them.
The Astros were much cooler when they played in the Astrodome, had Nolan Ryan, and were in the National League West.
The Astros DO get on my nerves now for playing in their little juicebox stadium and having their silly little choo-choo train in the outfield which has nothing to do with an "Astro". That train has to be the dumbest thing in all baseball next to Hawk Harrelson.
I can't hate on the Brewers quite yet. They're just too cute. Awww. Look at the widdle Brewers. They have a mascot that goes down a slide. They think they can actually win. Awww. How precious. Though they have lost a lot of their charm now that Ge-off Jenkins left town.
I don't know, I think there is a tie between Sox and Cardinals.

I tried to be a Mets fan, and I couldn't do it. I just couldn't. I had no desire to root for them.
