A single tulip stands out proud to be part of the plethora of architectural significance surrounding its bed of flowers in downtown Chicago. Cars crossing over the Michigan Avenue bridge with its massive sculptured pylons provides an impressive gateway to North Michigan Avenue. On the left the white terra cotta clad Wrigley Building was the first large office building north of the Chicago River. John Hancock pokes up in the middle with the highest residences in the world. Tribune Tower encircled by 8 flying buttresses houses the Chicago Tribune Newspaper. On the far right, the Equitable Building represents of modern architecture on the right.
