“Muhahahahaha!” Typically only villians would laugh like that. Are there any superheros that have a maniacal crazy streak?
The Mask was really crazy, yet a good guy. Sabretooth and Batman are kinda crazy, but not quite maniacal. They are just more of an anti-hero hero type. The Hulk was certainly mad, but he would never laugh like, “muhahahahahaha!” He was more like a, “roooooooaaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhh!”
Please don’t tell me the Mask is the only maniacal superhero ever.
that’s a good question. I can’t think of any. The Punisher is a little off-kilter, but he doesn’t have a crazy laugh. Spider-Man is the most sarcastic superhero, but he doesn’t have a crazy laugh. I don’t know anything about Ghost Rider. He looks like he would have a maniacal laugh.
Whose that big red dude who grinds down the horns on his head? He smoked cigars, had a ponytail and sideburns. He loved Snickers bars. He had a thing for that girl that could spontaneously start fires. He had his own movie recently. It was pretty good. His sorta sidekick is that fish guy named Lincoln or Abraham. And the red guy had some FBI agent that looked after him. They fought against that Nazi guy who would always turn a gear in his chest. I think he had knives for hands. Anyways. That big red guy doesn’t have a maniacal laugh, but he should. As a side note, i think it’s fun describing super heroes and villians. It’s funny.
The Joker and the Riddler of course! And Skeletor!
Fred, those are good examples of characters who have a maniacal laugh. However, they are not good guys. That’s the crux. Who is a good guy that is also maniacal? Moose, you were thinking of Hellboy. It’s #8 on this USA Today blog post, “What comic-book movies are worth renting?.”
that list is messed up. Brenda Starr is number 2? That’s false. This list greatly upsets me. There’s no mention of any Batman movie. No Superman movies. No Spider-Man movies. c’mon. The Spider-Man movies are great! Instead we are subjected to the likes of Brenda Starr, Lone Wolf and Cub, Little Nemo, Supergirl and more. sickening. I went to see who made this list and it was a female. I’m starting to see some of the logic in this list. This list should be called, “Chick Flick Super Hero Movies”
Not really a comic book movie, but I’m extremely fond of “Dick Tracy.” It’s got a great look and is well directed. I like the first Superman movie, too.
Hey, Moose. I’m a chick and a film critic, and I like all the movies you mentioned. Give the ladies a break!
Did you know that they are trying to make another Brenda Starr movie? Or maybe a tv show? It’s true. Oh yes it’s true! I have a special interest in this, because my company syndicates Brenda Starr and one of my friends is the editor of the comic strip. He likes to show me the funny story lines that happen in the strip. It’s actually quite the soap opera on the comics page! You can see the progress of Brenda Starr in film at http://blog.zap2it.com/brendastarr The attempt to get Brenda on tv/movie is being spearheaded by actress Jenna Mattison who would act as Brenda Starr. Her blog is rather amusing as lately she talks about her personal love life more than the movie quest.
Yeah Moose! Give the ladies a break! Sheesh!
I didn’t mean to imply this list is bad because it was written by a female. A large percentage of females would know to include better super hero movies in a list of super hero movies. I meant no disrespect to females. What I meant to say was that Whitney Matheson (author of the article) clearly has a taste for chick flicks, thus explaning the large amount of chick flicks in the list. Now she was smart to include non-chick flick movies like Hellboy. However, there’s simply too many chick flicks in the list. That’s all.
