You can fill out a survey at let Dominick’s know how your grocery trip was. Dude, and you will be entered into a sweepstakes to win a $100 gift card. We all have our opinions about grocery shopping. You can pour your heart and mind into a grocery survey on www.grocerysurvey.net. Here’s some of the questions on the survey and how I answered them:

Do you have any comments or suggestions for improving our Produce department?

To improve the produce department of Dominick’s I’d like to see more innovations in produce. Take apples. That’s a nice fruit. But often your apples are too big. I want smaller apples. Mini apples. Just look at Apple the company, they made the iPad mini. They made the iPod mini. Dominick’s should make mini apples. Little bite-sized apples you can eat by the handful. Nom nom nom. I’d come back to the grocery store for that all the time!

Do you have any comments or suggestions for improving our Store Aisles?

If you really want to improve the store aisles, you would have store employees roaming the aisles gently informing people when they incorrectly use their shopping cart. There have been too many times where people park their shopping cart right in the middle of the aisle. Hello. Shopping carts should be tucked out of the way of others. Better yet, you should always be close to your shopping cart in case you need to move it. Too many grocery customers violate simple courtesies such as this. I bet if you took a survey of grocery shoppers, you’ll find that people find that shopping card misuse is quite prevalent.

Do you have any comments or suggestions for improving our checkout?

Your self checkout machines are very sensitive to additional bags. Thankfully the Dominick’s assistant was great. Many times you have to wait a few minutes for the assistant to allow you to continue if you add your own bag. But everytime the machine paused with my new bag, the assistant was right on it. Literally within five seconds. That assistant was like a self-checkout ninja! I didn’t look over, but he/she must have been observing whenever I added a new bag and was anticipating my every move–just like what ninjas do! Observant, predicting the future, lightning fast.

I had a little fun with the mini apple answer. I aired some grievances with shopping cart behaviors. And I praised the employees with the self-checkout lanes. A nice mix.

Do you have any interesting experiences you’d like to share about Dominick’s? Please share in the comments below.
