I have always been a huge fan of this Statue in the Art Institute of Chicago. But when I saw it just a couple weeks after the World Trade Center attacks, it really struck me. This statue depicts the a man, his wife and child escaping the Mount Saint Helens eruption. The man is holding a huge sweeping cape protecting his wife and child from the great amounts of dust falling down. This reminded me of the New York workers running away from the sheer amount of dust of the World Trade Center.
