Happy New Year! Happy New Year! TWO-THOUSAND EIGHT! TWO-THOUSAND EIGHT! TWO-THOUSAND EIGHT! TWO-THOUSAND EIGHT! TWO-THOUSAND EIGHT! TWO-THOUSAND EIGHT! TWO-THOUSAND EIGHT! TWO-THOUSAND EIGHT! TWO-THOUSAND EIGHT! TWO-THOUSAND EIGHT!
I want to wear 2008 glasses all year long! Wouldn’t that be funny to see someone wearing 2008 glasses in September?

They should make glasses where the last digit is interchangeable. However, I suppose you only need an “8” and a “9” now. The 2010 glasses won’t work to well. Better get your 2009 glasses now! It’s the last year for such eyewear. Enjoy it while it lasts. All the more reason to wear a pair of 2008 glasses all year long!
I meant to say, “won’t work too well”, not “work to well”. My bad. We need to keep the grammar real in “08.
of course I screw my grammar statement by saying “08 instead of ’08. I’m stoopid.
Man, those glasses were ubiquitious here in New York. Not so much in Ventura, where I live. I commented to a friend last night: “wouldn’t it be weird if I randomly wore other years’ glasses throughout the year?” You and I are on the same wavelength, chum!
I’ve always wondered if people kept their 1999 or 1996 glasses. (Plus, I love how people justify spending more money on NYE as a way of saying “You’ll remember where you were on NYE in Year X.” Hell, I can’t remember 3 years ago, so I guess it’s wasted money!)
I’m wearing mine all year. Graduations,4th of July etc. After 2009 you will have to wait nearly 1000 years for another chance.
This is so cool! If only there was a way to transform them magically to 2009 eyeglasses … that way you wouldn’t need to buy new ones until 2010!
