The America 24/7 project that I participated in May is now publishing the national book (which I did not get in). I thought they were going for more straight-on human shots, but based on their state examples, it’s pretty even:
* 48% directly feature a person
* 26% has a teeny-tiny person, or someone in silouette
* 30% has no person
btw, the cover sucks!

WTF IS THIS? So this is the cover of the book? http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0789499754/artiwu03 It’s a nice photo and all, but it’s NOT at all dramatic. It does NOT want to make me buy the book, if i was just some joe schmoe. It’s some country texas girl with a wad of green crap in her hand. It is supposed to be endearing, cuz she’s dressed up like an adult? My bets are that the people who published this book are from the south. And then you can’t even tell if it’s a girl or boy. It looks like a girl, but it could be a boy. they’re all cheesey stereotypical photos. Nothing of interest. just warm and fuzzy crap. i am very disappointed.
I agree…this book is not going to appeal to anyone except the people who actually got in this mediocre piece of 5hit and their mothers.
I’ll buy the book and use the pages to wipe my all-american a55
