Last friday there were a few guys out with video cameras scoping out Chicago’s Wacker Drive. photo 1, photo 2. There was enough of them, and they looked “real” enough that they were “big-time” movie people planning out their scenes. It’s rumored that the next Batman movie will have some scenes in lower Wacker. Maybe these were the filmmakers scoping it out!
The Chicago Film office has announced that the Chris Nolan-directed film will be shooting in the city from July 31 until August 21. The office says that both Christian Bale and Michael Caine will be filming in Chicago at that time.
i saw those camera people too. i though they were surveyors. also, one day last week my photo teacher sent us all into grant park to shoot stuff, and i noticed a lot of other people shooting as well – i thought it was all the photo classes, but maybe i was wrong. ANOTHER batman movie? what’s the name of this one – Batman: No One Comes To See My Movies Anymore, So Now I’m Poor And Homeless And Live On Lower Wacker?
HOW FREAKIN’ AWESOME WOULD IT BE TO SEE BATMAN IN CHICAGO? OH MAN!
are they still casting & where please let me know thank you
this is funny, my friend went down to this – you had to fill out a bio and give a head shot. on his bio he mentioned that he loves karaoke (because he wanted to be a lounge singer all dressed up in a suit in the movie) so they called him back monday and said they wanted him to play a “shady character” heh. a shady character…….
i also saw the surveyor people out on the near west side, around 1400 w. randolph. batman apparently likes to frequent the formerly-industrial newly-gentrified condo-loft areas.
They’re filming “BATMAN BEGINS.” It’s a restart of the entire Batman franchise. It’s no Schumacher movie, THANK GOD! It’s directed by “Insomnia” and “Memento” director, Christopher Nolan. The movie stars, Christian Bale (Equilibrium), Gary Oldman (The Fifth Element), Katie Holmes (Phone Booth), Michael Caine (Secondhand Lions). It comes out June 17, 2005. Trust me, it’ll rock! Nolan and crew know what they’re doing. The official site is up as well. http://www.batmanbegins.com You’ll also find the teaser trailer too! 🙂
are they still casting for extras? If so how can I be an extra in this movie.
