no abusive language at the DMV

I got my new drivers license today at the State Center in Downtown Chicago today. Inside they had signs all over the place saying:

PLEASE
NO ABUSIVE
LANGUAGE
OR
CONDUCT
will be tolerated
and may be cause for
removal and/or arrest

Hehehe, true . . . Plus, did you notice that the sign isn’t grammatically coherent?

would they arrest you but not remove you? is there a jail cell in the lobby?

did you get a new license because you moved, or because you lost your old one?

[i”>They keep the same picture of you from your previous license.[/i”> That makes entirely too much sense. ;o) When my wallet was stolen (FROM MY OFFICE!), I walked to the Satellite City Hall in downtown Honolulu to get a new license so that I would be able to drive home legally that afternoon. Of course they had to photograph me with my unhappy-because-my-wallet-had-been-stolen face on, instead of using the picture they already had in their computer from the last time I had gotten my license (a few months prior). *sigh* . . .

I waited too long after my license expired and now I don’t have one…at all. But I have a passport!
