Google Buzz is fantastic. When you do a regular google search, there’s now a special section for “results from people in your social circle.” I love it.
Today I did a search for: chicago hot dog; and my friend’s blog shows up in this area. I didn’t rememberthat he wrote a blog post about chicago hot dogs, so I was happy to see his post.
Results from people in your social circle is fantastic, because now it takes my normal google searches to another level. It gives me results that I truly care about. They are results from things written by my friends and contacts.
Real connections. Real search results.
The social circle stuff has been out for a while now. 😉 Just hidden sometimes. http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/01/search-is-getting-more-social.html
A couple comments from facebook: SaSi: That’s pretty cool. Maybe I just don’t have enough “connections” or something. I thought Buzz was kinda like Facebook but with no one on it. Can you add people who don’t use Gmail? Spudart: “I thought Buzz was kinda like Facebook but with no one on it.” lol I’m seeing how long the buzz lasts. I think it’s too confusing for the general public. I think people have to have a google account to be on Google Buzz.
