Lisa and I ripped off all the branches on my Christmas tree (so the branches could fit into the recycling bags).
Update 20 years later
Some years, I’d keep up my tree so long that the needles were so brittle, I would just break off all the branches and put them into garbage bags so needles wouldn’t drop all over my apartment while dragging an entire tree out.
Based on this photo I took in 2003, it’s interesting to see that the branches grow off the main trunk in sections. I would have thought there were more parts from the main trunk where branches would grow.
