If I was a celebrity and people asked for my autograph, I’d give it and always ask the person for their autograph too. Wouldn’t that be fun to make a collection of people’s autographs? I think so.
Autograph collection of regular people
Happening right now on Spudart: Press a leaf in an envelope with the date and story written on it until 2026-10-31

I think so too. That was one of my favorite things about yearbooks back in school, getting peoples signatures!
Fun anecdote from the past: Bob Balaban has my mom’s autograph (or did at some point, who knows if he still has it). And, of course, she has his. They met at a historic theatre in Sullivan, IL (1963, I think) – she was there with the Norman Luboff Choir and he was in a local production of The Fantasticks.
what’s up with the pete rose signature on moldy paper? I wouldn’t ask pete rose to sign a moldy piece of paper. It doesn’t matter if he tried to destroy baseball. Moldy paper is moldy paper.
I like the irony of asking someone who destroyed baseball to sign a piece of paper that will destroy itself. I never thought of that. It’s brilliant. I also like the idea that if you store this Pete Rose autograph with your other autographs, it will destroy those as well. Good luck to the winner of this auction. Might as well get an autographed box of termites. If i had a box of termites, I’d put Pete Rose’s autograph on it and try to sell it. Wait no. I would not do that. That would be wrong. I would only do it in my mind. And that is funny.
y’know. Pete Rose’s name looks really rosey to me. So many loops and curves. The weird thing is that I never thought of the name, “Pete Rose” in terms of the flower until now. I spent 20+ years of my life knowing about Pete Rose and I never equated his name with the rose flower. Weird. And it was his autograph that made me think of it. Now I wish that Rose would have pulled a rose out of his helmet when he broke the career hits record. It’s a famous photo, y’know. Rose is holding his helmet in one hand and pointing to the sky with his other hand. He should be holding a rose in that photo. That would be so incredibly weird.
I meant to say in my last comment, “Pete Rose’s autograph looks really rosey to me”, not “Pete Rose’s name looks really rosey to me.” Of course his NAME looks rosey. But his autograph is very rosey. Big shapely petal shapes.
