An eBay seller is trying to sell some “Chicago Cub Half Dollars from 1907 and 1908.” Only thing is that they are not Chicago Cub Half Dollars. They are merely normal half dollars from 1907 and 1908–the years the Cubs won the World Series.
I sent a question to the seller, chicagosportsandmoresanto:

The image on these coins look like a woman, and not a cub. Is this a cub dressed up as a woman? If so the cub is doing a good job with the costume, it totally looks like a woman. Wait. Why would a cub dress up as a woman? Wouldn’t the cub dress up as a baseball player?

I’m not sure that I’ll get a response, since I didn’t ask a direct question. But c’mon, someone had to say something to this seller.
I’m not seeing the same thing you are. The seller is saying the coins are from the Chicago Cubs WS years, not that they are Chicago Cubs coins … “Barber Half Dollars Chicago Cubs WS (World Series) Years” not “Chicago Cubs Half Dollars”. I can see how they might fit into a collection of things from the Cubs WS Years (it’s kinda fun to have things across product categories even if you are just collecting from one category). I don’t believe there is any deceit here.
Does that mean I should keep all my candy wrappers from this year and sell them as special Obama Inauguration year candy bar wrappers?
i’m gonna keep a can of pickles with a 2009 expiration date and sell them as Obama Inauguration year pickles.
Obama pickles!
Maybe the lady on the coin is a famous Cubs fan. You ever think of that, Bub? Eh, Bub? Yea, I called you “Bub”. Go Cubs!!!!!
