“HE GONE!” is a catchphrase that Chicago White Sox broadcaster Hawk Harrelson likes to say when people on the opposing team strikes out. It’s so incredibly annoying as it does it all the time and in a 5th-grade tone.
Now, does Hawk Harrelson say that phrase at home? Someone leaves his house, “HE GONE!” A mouse gets caught in a trap, “HE GONE!” He finishes his cereal, “CEREAL GONE!”
Now when I glance at this post with “He gone!” above a photo of Hawk Harrelson, it gives me the immediate pleasure that he has been laid off from the Sox. But then I realize what the post is actually about, and I get a little disappointed.
