hmm…is this really supposed to bring them out of bankruptcy?

where’s the blue light special tie-in? are they now going to have the “lime-green light” special?

Kind of like that commercial where they company’s execs are asking the rock band for a song to help because their company has all these internal problems… window dressing ain’t going to save a failing company.

kmart sux! it always has. once walmart came along, kmart was no longer the only discount retailer out there. then when target came along, forget it! target is like my lucky bra, kmart is like gum on the bottom of my shoe.

I didn’t like this logo. I am sure glad they didn’t end up going with it company wide. The new logo they used it much better.

I think it was a good idea that Kmart tried to come up with a new logo. However, I cannot imagine them getting rid of red. If you think of a discount store, red is always associated with Kmart. The pictures that I’ve seen of Kmart stores with this new logo are really nice. The inside has a lime green color scheme throughout the store, and it honestly looks really good. However, they recently came out with another prototype store, an orange color. These new orange stores look really good, and if anything, I’d suggest they go with the new orange color. The logo though does stay the same as the current Kmart logo.

i don’t like how “mart” is squeezed inside the “K”. It looks like an afterthought and is forced in. Though I very much enjoy the arrow effect created by seperating the “K” into two distinctive elements. It adds alot of motion and activity to the logo. It’s too bad they couldn’t incorporate this arrow effect into their current logo. Though the current logo is nice in that they placed “mart” below the “K”… easy to read. I say they dump the “mart” altogether and just call themselves “K”. KMart aint doing so hot. Why not try something radical.
