I’m confident that I that I would do more steps than you, but I don’t support McDonald’s … at all … ever … I guess you could consider that a forfeit, but at least I know in my mind that I would out-step you :b
There are auctions on ebay selling the stepometer.
Ok, let’s just have a go at that, because I think that I can walk way more steps than you can!
Sarah, do you have a McDonalds Stepometer?
Roger Ebert wears a pedometer on his waist, and makes sure to walk 10,000 steps a day. He has lost 86 pounds over the last 18 months.
I challenge anyone to open mine. All I can get to is the battery. I see the instructions and I only see where the battery is. I wonder how many calories I burn beating it to a pulp.
Ok, I had a PhD open it. He can’t even run the Xerox in the office but he did manage to get it open. I am curious how many steps I take in an average day at my job and at home chasing toddlers.
I got one this weekend, and it bites! I walk about a mile from my parking space to my office ($@#% campus parking!), and the Stepometer measured only 75 steps. It then measured 50+ steps from my office to the restroom across the courtyard. Insanity!!! (And yes, I was wearing it correctly . . . )
I tried mine on the stairmaster at the gym, and it was very accurate. The stairmaster said something like 2,000 steps and the stepometer was only 10 steps off. I did find it confusing at first how to open it. And opening it is so important, because the number of steps are revealed on the inside.
Thanks for letting me know about the accuracy. I wondered about that.
