My three-year-old daughter made a dance floor with our Picasso magnet tiles. Then she took all her Little People figures; and put them onto the dance floor. I love her creativity.
“But wait!” I warned, “they are not practicing social distancing.” I took each figure and put them exactly one square apart from each other—as though they were pawns perfectly spaced apart on a checker board.

She did not find that very amusing, and promptly put the figures back into dancing pairs.
Ten years from now when she is a teenager, I’m sure she won’t find it amusing when I try the same tactic with high school dances. Social distancing!
