“for the first time in debate history, a light will flash to alert television viewers when a candidate is obviously grandstanding or filibustering.” from the chicagoist
I don’t get it. Who’s in control of this light? What purpose does this light really serve? Wouldn’t it be distracting to the tv audience?

I have the same questions you do. Why not let the viewers [read VOTERS”> decided who’s “grandstanding” … what a stupid idea.
spudart does not like anything that flashes, especially IM icons 😛
lol oh yes. 😀
I didn’t know that about the IM icons, but I know he detests those “blinkies”, can’t say I blame him. Ick!
i have a Gilmore Girls icon for my IM window, and it changes to show the viewing time and station for the show. this is very informative, as it lets you know when you can watch the show! very functional and multi-taskative. spudart does not appreciate this advanced technology. it’s like he’s a caveman or something. it’s like he’s wrapped in furs and carrying a club around and grunting. it’s like he just discovered fire. it’s like he makes tools by banging stones together. it’s just like that.
me caveman no like blinking aim icons. me not need to constantly know time gilmore girls on rockbox tv.
maybe if you took the information provided and WATCHED the show, you’d appreciate the icon. that’s the whole idea. you don’t even need cable, caveman – it’s on local TV. just aim your TV antenna out the cave door for reception. have some people over from other caves to watch – it can be a party! you can serve venison and berries and fermented drink.
i have nothing aginst gilmore girls. i’m sure it’s a wonderful show. i just don’t like blinking aim icons. Beware to those who use blinking aim icons. I close your aim window, so i don’t have to see the blink… blink… blink… blink…
for a designer, you sure sound intolerant. freedom for all designs! i call for liberty!
Wasn’t spudart a caveman for Halloween one year? Who’s got the pix?
