Paramount Pictures released official photos of the Autobots vehicle forms. Seven out of the eight are sleek vehicles. Hound is the only one that is a pure utility vehicle being a Medium Tactical Vehicle from Oshkosh Defense. Even Optimus Prime sports flashy flames. Prime needs to get more down-to-earth and ditch the flames.
Why are all the cars sleek? Why not have more utility vehicles? A few thoughts:
A) Is Transformers trying to be like those Fast & Furious movies?
Ugh. That’s why G.I.Joe failed. It tried to be all about testosteron.
B) Do the sleek cars sell more toys?
Perhaps Hasbro, the owner of the Transformers informed director Michael Bay they must have more sleek cars to sell more toys. I don’t know if Bay takes these sorts of orders from Hasbro, but it would be curious to see which vehicle forms sell the most for Transformer toys.

From top down, here are the cars featured in this photo collage:
1. Custom-built Western Star (Optimus Prime).
2. 2013 blood red Pagani Huayra.
3. Ultimate Sonic RS.
4. 013 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe.
5. Medium Tactical Vehicle from Oshkosh Defense (Hound).
6. 1967 modded-out vintage Chevy Camaro (Bumblebee).
7. Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse.
8. C7 Corvette Stingray.
I do rather like how the backdrop for the last five photos are all very consistent. It makes me wish the same backdrop was used for the first three photos.
