The Congress did not congratulate major league ballplayer Albert Pujols on his latest injury that will keep him out for three weeks. Instead the House of Representatives finally decided to congratulate Pujols on winning the MVP from 2005. (the official bill)
Here’s the complete conversation with our congressmen kissing up to Pujols on the house floor yesterday.

I came across this from the US Government RSS feed for baseball at http://www.govtrack.us/users/events-rss2.xpd?monitors=crs:Baseball Or you can check out the latest activity at this page: http://www.govtrack.us/users/events.xpd?monitors=crs:Baseball
That’s such nonsense. Derrek Lee had a better year than Pujols. Lee’s numbers were better. Lee also had to deal with a terrible lineup whereas Pujols had better support. And don’t forget that Lee is a much, much better fielder than Darth Pujols. And what’s up with all these Cardinals leading the All-Star balloting? It happens every year. It makes me sick. I bet the ushers hand out ballots during the game. I’m sick and tired of seeing Jim Edmonds in the all-star game. It must stop.
