Many years ago, my brother found a pair of the best pair of men’s winter boots. He did a bunch of research. They were light and waterproof. Columbia Men’s Bugaboot III.
I bought those boots in March 2016. Eight years later, the boots are still holding up. And I walk a lot! For four years, I walked about five miles a day in the winter. Since then, I walk about 2-3 miles a day.

For eight years of heavy-duty use, this is quite impressive. I would love to buy these boots again.
Great news: Columbia still makes the Bugaboot III! (affiliate link). The colors have changed just a little bit, but it looks pretty much the same.
They regularly sell for $120. But when do they go on sale?

The boots are currently on sale for $90. We can see from this chart that in the spring months, the boots get discounted even more to $60 to $75. This is the perfect case for using this price tracker. I don’t need boots immediately. I’ll catch them when they are on sale.
